Nikolaj Hansen

YOUTH SOLOIST

Nikolaj Hansen is a third-year performance major at the University of British Columbia, studying under Larry Knopp, the Principal Trumpet of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. Nikolaj has previously studied with three time Juno award winning jazz trumpeter, Brad Turner. He has collaborated with several prestigious ensembles in Vancouver, including the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, the Vancouver Jazz Orchestra, and the Vancouver Brass Orchestra. This summer, Nikolaj will join the National Youth Orchestra of Canada for their nationwide tour. Following his graduation, he intends to pursue a master’s degree in Trumpet Performance.
