In addition to performing wind ensemble music at the highest possible artistic level, and collaborating with your ensembles, PSWE's mandate is to support the creation of new works for wind ensembles with a strong focus on Canadian Composers and provide opportunities for young wind and percussion players to perform as soloists. 

To that end, we sponsor two alternating biennial competitions.
